Experienced and passionate science teacher and researcher. - Maths tutor with Valentine

I was Dr Eze's supervisor for his PhD and for 4 years of postdoctoral research, all at Newcastle University, i.e. 8 years in total.

His knowledge of and enthusiasm for chemistry is second-to-none. I think the fact that he has conducted research into chemistry at such a deep level, will give him a great deal of insight, which will greatly add to his teaching. Personally, I think the more levels a teacher has gone beyond the teaching level, the better.

During his degrees and postdoctoral research, he required a great deal of other analytical skills and a broad range of scientific experience. Hence, he will be able to teach maths and other sciences to GCSE and A-level, too.

I am confident that Valentine will be a great tutor, due to enthusiasm, dedication and depth of knowledge.

Valentine is a dedicated, hardworking and passionate teacher. He demonstrated on my Chemistry for Chemical Engineers laboratory course during the academic years 2015/16 and 2016/17. He was friendly and accessible to the students and was able to explain concepts behind the experiments to the students clearly.
In addition, I trusted him to design one of the practicals as we had just purchased some new equipment from Gunt and he required a project as part of the Module Design and Supporting Learning (MDSL) aspect of his CASAP programme. My trust was not misplaced: he did an excellent job in designing the experiments, the write up for the students' manual and providing data for the markers' manual. I was also happy for him to deliver two of my lectures, on Lipids and Fats, and near-infra red spectroscopy, which he prepared very carefully for and delivered well. I understand he has a PGCE either completed or nearing completion.
I believe Valentine will make and excellent and inspiring teacher and recommend him wholeheartedly to you.
