About Khadijah
I double majored in Art History and Psychology at Dartmouth College (2019), and have a deep passion for contemporary Japanese art. My favourite artists include Aya Takano, Hilma af Klint, and Hito Steyerl, whose works continually inspire me. Through my academic journey and personal interests, I've developed a unique perspective on the intersection of art, history, and culture, and I'm excited to share this passion with my students.

I believe in a dynamic, student-centered approach to teaching, particularly when it comes to art history. I guide students through learning by encouraging critical thinking, analysis, and comparisons between different art movements and genres. Through this method, students not only absorb knowledge but also develop a deeper appreciation for art and its historical contexts.
Each lesson lasts 1 hour and is designed to be interactive and engaging, using visual aids, discussions, and comparative studies to make the content relatable and memorable. I focus on building strong foundational skills, making sure that students can confidently connect artistic techniques to cultural and historical contexts.
With experience leading the ILHAM Art Council (2021-2023), where I mentored 30 students, I understand how to motivate secondary school learners. My lessons are tailored to the needs of secondary school students, particularly those aiming to excel in subjects like art history or preparing for university applications.
