About Leah
I am a very experienced art teacher, having taught art for over 20 years. I am passionate about art and design… I want everyone to understand and experience high-quality art education. I love going to exhibitions and galleries, I love to take my school students on art trips. I see art in everything and I want to share that with students. I enjoy adapting teaching to suit my students' needs, skills and interests. I love teaching art skills and seeing students develop and become more independent and skilled. My main mantra is “Everyone can achieve in art, you can never do it wrong.”

About the lesson

I teach art and design skills in a personalised way, inspiring students to develop their love of art. I focus on students' abilities to help them grow in confidence and skills. I am a master at adaptive teaching, allowing students to flourish in their own ways. I nurture and encourage all art skills from drawing, painting, clay sculpture, card sculpture and printmaking. It’s important to recognise artists as inspiration too so I use artists and designers to help teaching and learning. I have worked as a GCSE examiner for AQA exam board, so I am skilled in teaching and guiding students at GCSE level. I continue to work as an art teacher in school, teaching all year groups. I also have lots of experience teaching students with special needs.
