About Angela
Hello there! Welcome to my profile :)
My name is Angela, I'm originally from Italy but I’ve been living in the UK for the past decade, where I’ve been studying and working.
I've always had a passion for languages. When I was 11 years old, I had the opportunity to study English in London. At 16, I attended a language school in Dublin for over a month, which was an incredible experience. A year later, I spent six months in Cordoba, Argentina where I learnt Spanish by living with an Argentinian family and attending a local college. Years later, after completing my university studies in Italy, I moved to Tokyo, Japan, to immerse myself in the culture and improve my Japanese language skills. Finally, at the end of 2014, I moved to the UK and started building my life here.
As you can imagine, I’ve spent countless hours behind a desk as a language student, and I know a lot about the frustrations and challenges of learning a foreign language. I also know that learning doesn't mean spending hours and hours doing countless grammar exercises until your head starts hurting! Language learning can be an exciting adventure, built around the topics and activities you love, and I’m here to help you make the most of your adventure!
In addition to teaching, I’m also an illustrator with a passion for visual arts, literature, and films. In my spare time, you can find me practising yoga, swimming, or hiking in the mountains. I love animals and nature and am generally very curious about many things.

I’m a qualified English teacher with a CELTA - Pass A certification, and I've spent the past year teaching English to both adults and teenagers from all over the world. I absolutely love helping students improve their language skills, whether they're aiming to boost their confidence in conversations, prepare for exams, or just feel more comfortable using English in everyday life.
The lessons have a student-led approach and I always take the time to understand what each student wants to achieve, what interests them, and how they prefer to learn. This way, I can tailor my lessons to fit their unique needs, creating a personalised and positive learning experience. I focus on making learning both enjoyable and meaningful by using up-to-date materials that relate to real-life topics.
My teaching style is interactive and supportive—I like to keep things practical and fun so students feel comfortable participating and practising their skills. My goal is to help each student make progress at their own pace while enjoying the journey of learning English!
