About Marcus
With nearly 20 years teaching experience in both the US and Uk, I have taught and helped countless students achieve Grade 8-9 in GCSE Chemistry and Biology, and A/A* in A LevelChemistry and Biology. Through my methods, I help students develop their metacognition ( their ability to think about their thinking) to empower them to take charge of their own learning and increase their confidence to achieve their best results.

During my initial consultation, I will determine the students goals and assess their strengths and weaknesses during the initial interview. If necessary, I can give students an assessment to help plan possible tutoring lessons.
During tutoring sessions, I will go over any work you may have to help you become aware of why you’re having difficulties and give remediation strategies to help bridge gaps.
I can also help students looking to be challenged with opportunities to further develop what I call their HOTS (higher order thinking skills) so they can access and succeed answering the most challenging of questions.
