About Gihan
My students and their families can trust that they are working with a fully qualified, serious educator — not a student tutor or a generalist. I hold a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Cairo University and have taught chemistry and science professionally for over 20 years across university, high school, middle school, and elementary levels in the United States, Egypt, and internationally. I have supervised university laboratories, prepared students for AP Chemistry exams, and most recently taught Science and Math at a local Champaign-Urbana school. Every lesson I deliver is grounded in deep subject knowledge, genuine teaching experience, and a personal commitment to each student's growth. I treat every student — whether they are struggling or accelerating — with the same respect, patience, and high expectations I would want for my own children. Your progress is not just my job. My approach:
I start every new student with a conversation — not a test. I want to understand where you are, what your goals are, and what has not been working. From there, I design sessions that build real understanding, not just exam tricks. I use worked examples, visual explanations, hands-on thinking, and practice problems — whatever works best for you.
