About Beñat
I come from the Basque Country (Spain), where I started playing the age of 6. I completed my undergraduate degree at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, with Andrew Marriner and Andrew Webster as my teachers. I am currently a Masters student on my final year of the Orchestral Artistry Course at the Guildhall. My current teachers include Joy Farrall, James Burke, and Robert Ault.
I have had experience playing in professional orchestras such as English National Opera (ENO), The Hallé, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, or Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
I have performed in chamber music festivals in the UK, Spain and Italy. I have taken part in the BBC Symphony Orchestra's Total Immersion (on BBC Radio 3) in various editions, most recently performing Boulez's 'Dialogue de l'ombre double' for solo clarinet and tape, and I have performed at the LSO's lunchtime concert series with my wind quintet.

I adjust to the needs and interests of each of my students. Whether that is to prepare ABRSM or Trinity System exams, or to learn to play or improve your clarinet skills because you love it, I am happy to help!
I enjoy playing duets with my students and work on the skills required to make music with others. Learning an instrument can be a lot of work, but above all, it has to be FUN.
