About Owen
From a young age, I was captivated by the expressive power of both classical and jazz music, and over the years, I've dedicated myself to mastering these art forms. Teaching allows me to pass on that love of music, helping students discover their own voices through their instruments.
I believe that music is not just about playing the right notes but about expressing emotion, telling a story, and connecting with others. That's why I focus on more than just technique in my lessons; I aim to help students understand the music they're playing and express themselves through it.
My approach to teaching is deeply personal and tailored to each student’s needs. I thrive on finding creative ways to inspire and motivate my students, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Whether we’re working on a challenging classical piece or exploring the improvisational freedom of jazz, my goal is to ignite a passion for music that will last a lifetime.

As an experienced Classical and Jazz violinist and violist with over 11 years of teaching experience, I offer personalized lessons tailored to your unique goals and skill level. My lessons are designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, focusing on building a strong foundation while exploring the nuances of musical expression.
In my sessions, we will cover a wide range of techniques, including bowing, fingering, and tone production, ensuring you develop a solid technical foundation. For those interested in Jazz, I also offer improvisation training, helping you to express your creativity and develop your own unique style.
