My approach as a tutor is centered on active learning, clarity, and confidence-building. I don’t just focus on helping students get the right answer, I focus on making sure they truly understand why the answer is correct so they can apply the concept independently on exams.

I also incorporate practice questions, recall techniques, and mini “teach-back” moments, where students explain concepts to reinforce their understanding.
Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical session starts with identifying what the student is struggling with or reviewing previous material. From there, I:

Walk through examples step-by-step
Guide the student through practice problems
End with a summary and quick review to solidify learning
I also adjust sessions based on upcoming exams, homework, or specific goals.

As a lifelong student with a Masters in Biomedical Science and a BS in Biochemistry, Certified Peer Educator, and CRLA-certified tutor, I bring both strong content knowledge and proven teaching strategies.
