About Petra
Hi, I’m Petra. I’m 43 years old and have more than 20 years of experience in education. I teach Dutch, geography, and history, both online and in secondary school.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking, and meeting new people. These hobbies keep me curious, open-minded, and inspire me in my teaching.
I love helping students improve their Dutch, especially their speaking and listening skills. My lessons are interactive, practical, and focused on real communication. I’m here to help you feel confident and comfortable when speaking Dutch.
I am a patient, calm, and friendly teacher, and I always create a supportive learning environment. Respect is very important to me because I believe it makes learning more enjoyable and effective.
You can always ask questions—I’m here to guide and support you throughout your learning journey.

My approach is interactive: you will practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing a lot.
I make the lessons as practical and motivating as possible, so you can really start using your Dutch in everyday life. I also give homework to help you make faster progress.
Together, we work step by step on your confidence and language skills. I look forward to learning and growing together!
