About Charlene
After teaching in Somers, New York, I have been tutoring for twenty years. I have taught individuals and classes. I individualize instruction for each student. I have a Bachelor Degree (cum laude) from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, New York and Master's Degree from Fairfield University, Fairfield Connecticut. After I taught in Somers, I was a learning specialist at Manhattanville College's Disability Center. In addition, I can teach remotely.

I have given lessons in English, reading, history, math, and science. In addition a work with students on their high school testing: New York State Regents, SATs, ACT's PRAXIS, and GREs. I differentiate instruction for each student. I often use PowerPoints to help students understand the content of the course. My students have done well because I have specific strategies that I employ. I have many students, who have achieved success. For example, one student received a full scholarship for Dartmouth College and another student is a sophomore at West Point.
