About Claire
Currently I work as a freelance educator for the National Justice Museum based at the Royal courts of justice. I plan and deliver project funded workshops, such as, Mayor's fund for London Theatre of Law and Shakespeare on trail (in conjunction with the Globe theatre). These workshops are tailored for Key stage 2-5 of the National curriculum in History, Law and citizenship. I also freelance regularly at the National Civil war centre, performing in various historical promenade shows over the summer holidays and with the people’s company based at the Southwark Playhouse. Previously I have worked for Brent Council inclusion and alternative education services. Here I taught GCSE English Literature and history of the National Curriculum on a one to one support for students with behavioural and SEND needs. I have been an educator for over 6 years and many of my students achieved their desired grades to further their careers. Many students tell me I am highly skilled in my work but also caring and supportive to their needs.

I am a passionate educator who believes in supporting students through positive engagement by giving them the confidence and skills they need to succeed in their studies. I can offer one to one tutoring for Key stage 2-5 in English, drama, history and citizenship. I am a trained actor with a BA (Hons) in theatre studies and a post graduate certificate in museum & heritage education management.
My lessons are structured towards achieving your long term goals by setting learning objectives in each lesson, creating a personalised learning plan, setting homework and offering feedback towards working on areas of improvement. This allows me to understand the individual needs of each student and to offer a safe, supportive, caring environment that will allow them to gain the grades they need to achieve their career ambitions.
