I offer English reading lessons for students from Grade 1 to Grade 4, typically aged 6 to 10 years. Each lesson is usually 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and attention level.
I am a Learning Support Assistant with over 7 years of experience working with young learners. I have strong experience in supporting students to develop reading, comprehension, and communication skills through structured and engaging methods.
My reading program starts with strong foundations, including phonics, letter sounds, blending, and CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words. I use short, simple stories to help students practice decoding and build fluency. As students progress, I focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and sentence formation.
I use effective techniques such as guided reading, repetition, sounding out words, and asking questions to check understanding. I also encourage reading aloud to improve pronunciation, confidence, and fluency. My lessons are interactive and tailored to each child’s level, ensuring steady progress and a positive learning experience.
