About Sune
I am a qualified and experienced Foundation Phase educator with an Honors degree in Inclusive Education, dedicated to supporting young learners in reaching their full potential. With both local and international teaching experience, I bring a well-rounded, adaptable approach to education that meets each child’s unique needs.
I am passionate about creating a nurturing and structured learning environment where learners feel safe, confident, and motivated. My teaching approach focuses not only on academic growth in literacy and numeracy, but also on emotional support, as I believe that confident children learn best.
As the owner of a nursery school, I have developed strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and I work closely with parents to ensure consistent support for each learner. I am committed, reliable, and deeply invested in the success and well-being of every child I work with.

My approach to tutoring is centred around building a strong, trusting relationship with each learner, creating a safe and encouraging environment where they feel confident to learn and grow. I combine structured, proven teaching methods with creative and engaging activities tailored to each child’s individual needs, pace, and learning style. What makes my approach unique is my strong focus on both academic progress and emotional well-being, ensuring that each learner feels supported, understood, and motivated.
I am able to teach in both English and Afrikaans, and I adapt my lessons to suit the learner’s language preference and level of understanding.
A typical lesson includes a short revision of previous work, introduction of new concepts in an interactive way, guided practice, and reinforcement through fun, meaningful activities. I also incorporate strategies to build confidence, concentration, and independent thinking.
My lessons are aimed at Foundation Phase learners, particularly those who need extra support with literacy and numeracy, as well as learners who may benefit from additional emotional encouragement and individual attention.
