About Emma
I am a passionate and dedicated French tutor who enjoys helping students of all ages develop their language skills and confidence. I believe that learning a language should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience, so I create a supportive and positive environment where students feel comfortable making progress at their own pace.
I have a strong understanding of the French language and culture, and I adapt my teaching approach to suit each student’s goals, whether they are learning French for school, exams, travel, work, or personal interest. I particularly enjoy working with children and helping them build a strong foundation in French through engaging and interactive lessons.
I am patient, organised and committed to helping every student achieve their potential. My aim is not only to improve language skills, but also to inspire curiosity and a genuine love for the French language.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style and goals. I use a friendly and encouraging approach to help students build confidence while developing their French language skills. My teaching focuses on improving speaking, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing through a variety of interactive activities, conversations, exercises and real-life examples.
For younger learners, I make lessons fun and engaging by using games, stories, visual resources and activities that help children develop a natural interest in French. For GCSE and A Level students, I focus on exam preparation, improving accuracy, expanding vocabulary and developing the skills needed to achieve strong results. I also offer lessons for adults who want to learn French for travel, work or personal enrichment.
Lessons typically last 1 hour, but I can adapt the length depending on the student’s age, level and requirements. Each session is carefully planned to ensure steady progress while keeping lessons enjoyable and motivating.
I welcome students of all levels, from complete beginners to more advanced learners, and aim to create a supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable practising and improving their French.
