About Lillian
I have been playing the piano since the age of six and completed my Grade 8 with Merit in May 2024. Through years of consistent practice and exam preparation, I’ve developed strong technique, musicality, and discipline. Having experienced the full journey myself, I can guide students not only on what to do, but also what to avoid, helping them practise more effectively and progress with confidence. My lessons are supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals, whether they are preparing for exams or playing for enjoyment. I am a Chinese speaker and can teach in Chinese if needed.

For younger students, I focus on building confidence by helping them learn and play pieces smoothly. As they progress, I introduce more advanced techniques and effective practice strategies. I encourage keeping a practice notebook and set clear goals each lesson. Sessions are typically one hour but can be adjusted, especially around exams. I have prior experience teaching students from beginner level up to around Grade 5–6.
