About Ruth
Friendly, encouraging tutor with a lot of experience. I understand that learning is different for everyone and enjoy the challenge of adapting to the needs of my students. I have experience teaching students from 8 to 80 years old! Currently teaching English and Music in a secondary school, fully DBS checked and I have a great understanding of the demands of the secondary national curriculum.

Secondary Music and English specialist, with a focus on literacy. Happy to teach online, using MS Teams. Experienced tutor, with many years of private teaching. I have an undergraduate degree in music, and a master's in creative writing. Grade 8 clarinet, flute, saxophone. Grade 7 piano. I teach using a range of resources, adaptive questioning, individual differentiation and like to make connections between areas of learning.
