About Andrea

Ciao! My name is Andrea - your new language teacher!

I have completed my studies all across Italy, and I've recently obtained a PhD in English Literature. I'm currently working as an Italian Language Assistant at The Manchester Grammar School, but I also teach online, including 1:1 sessions and group classes.

With 6+ years of experience teaching online and at prestigious institutions (The University of Manchester, University of California in Rome), I specialise in carefully planned Italian classes that blend culture, grammar, and communication skills.

UK Enhanced DBS-checked and in possession of an Italian criminal record check.

About the lesson

As a teacher, I enjoy challenging students to achieve their full potential. I am very careful in selecting high-quality and real-life materials to help you progress in your language learning journey, moving step by step towards fluency and accuracy.

Every lesson is a balance of structure and creativity, clear explanations and dynamic activities. I want you to feel both comfortable and stimulated, so that you can build confidence in expressing yourself and enjoy the process of mastering the language. I believe that the best lessons are those that are both effective and fun - for you as a learner, and for me as a teacher.

I've been taking classes with Andrea for just over two years and have never had a better teacher! He explains the logic of Italian very clearly and plans a wide variety of exercises for his classes, which was helpful for me as I started learning. In particular, I love how our classes use Italian culture, history, and daily life to put the language into context. I don't think any other kind of class would give me so much value for my money and heartily recommend Andrea!

Andrea has been my Italian teacher since 2021. My original goal was to pass the CILS C1 exam. My level at the time didn't allow to do this, but thanks to Andrea's meticulous preparation to our classes I am a proud owner of the C1 certificate in Italian! His comprehensive teaching approach is really inspiring. It makes you feel confident and engaged in whatever activity Andrea offers you. Andrea is extremely knowledgeable and always eager to share his culture and language.
