About Rex
I’ve been studying Japanese for 5+ years. A year in college, a year in Japan, and 3+ years on my own. Ironically, some of the most valuable progress had come from self study. I have taught many things over the past several years: Japanese, math, ESL, diet coaching, axe throwing, and I’ve learned to appreciate where beginners come from and how to tailor content to the exact level of understanding that is needed at a given time.
I try hard to apply principles from some of my favorite books: Atomic Habits, Ultralearning, the 4-hour work week, etc.
I only work with people who want to learn what I’m teaching. It’s boring and ineffective to merely complete homework assignments and test prep. I am a lover of learning and hopefully you are too. Message me if you think this would be a good fit

We are all human beings, and although I could construct some fantastical study plan in which you’d learn everything you need to know in a month, effort is a negotiation, and everything you do must compete with everything else you could otherwise be doing
