Experienced language (Korean, Japanese, and English) tutor in Irvington, Seukyung offers private or group lessons tailored to your needs.

Best Korean Teacher.
I have been taking Korean lessons with Ms. Kim for about two years now, and not only is she very patient with me, but she also makes sure I completely understand the lesson before moving on to the next. I found her teaching style to be very engaging and effective. She can make a challenging topic seem easy by breaking it down, which helps me understand the material. Her enthusiasm for teaching creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for language learning, and I look forward to every lesson. In addition to that, not only did I learn a lot about the language itself, but the culture as well.

—I highly recommend Ms. Kim to anyone looking to learn Korean. She is a very adaptable person and definitely made learning Korean fun for me.

Excellent Language Tutor
Seukyung, who is a native Korean speaker, is an excellent Korean language tutor. She has taught my teenage daughter (who had never spoken Korean) for 8 months. Seukyung is warm and personable, as well as precise and professional. She is helping my daughter build a solid foundation for speaking Korean, working with her on correct and precise pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. Seukyng is also very responsive and flexible. Her weekly summaries to me about my daughter's progress, levels achieved and planned lessons are invaluable. I recommend Seukyung very highly. I'm so happy we found her.

Personalized and comprehensive
I have been uncertain of my level for a long time, so sometimes I waste time on textbooks that aren't suited to me. But with Miss Kim's help, I am working with a mix of materials that will help me work on the goals that I have and improve the weaknesses I have. We worked on basic grammar and then built up to more complex sentence structure and also looked at more uncommon vocabulary to help strengthen mine all in one lesson.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT TUTOR!
Seukyung is way more than I ever expected of a Japanese Tutor! Seukyung spent an exuberant amount of time with my son and myself before my son began his lessons. Seukyung has an extensive background in Asian languages and taught my son Japanese in an amazing way! Seukyung emailed my son practice worksheets to print and use before and after each session! We are thrilled with Seukyung and her tutoring skills! We highly recommend Seukyung to everyone interested in learning Japanese!

Ms. Kim is an amazing tutor. Very detailed and thorough with all. Seukyung has been teaching me Korean! I never studied before. She is very detailed and helpful every time we meet and I’m quickly learning. She has taught me grow in the language of Korean, grammar, sentence building and conversational language and just a few things she has taught me.

Wonderful approach to Korean language fundamentals
My son is gaining confidence in the areas of pronunciation and conversation with the fundamental approach to Korean introduced by his tutor, Ms. Seukyung K. Her structured yet relaxed teaching style facilitates learning and comprehension of the session. Anticipating next week's lesson.
