About Nafiz

With over a year of experience as a private tutor, I specialize in teaching Mathematics, Science, and English to students in both group and one-on-one settings. I prioritize active analysis of students' knowledge and reinforce learning through assigned homework tasks. Additionally, I conduct multiple mock examinations, with initial papers graded in front of students to familiarize them with marking schemes and bolster their confidence for upcoming exams.

My Teaching Approach and Techniques

When it comes to tutoring Math and IT, my main goal is to make learning both clear and enjoyable. Here’s how I go about it:

Personalized Attention: I start by figuring out where you’re at with the subject and what areas you might need more help with. I then create a tailored plan that fits your learning style, whether you prefer visual aids, hands-on practice, or a different approach.

Interactive Learning: I like to keep things interactive. Instead of just lecturing, we’ll work through problems together, use real-world examples, and explore concepts with practical exercises. This helps make abstract ideas more tangible.

Step-by-Step Progression: I break down topics into manageable chunks, starting with the basics and gradually moving to more complex ideas. This way, you build a solid foundation and gain confidence as we go along.

Feedback and Adjustments: I regularly check in on your progress and adjust our lessons based on what’s working and what isn’t. This keeps us on track and ensures you’re getting the most out of our sessions.

A Typical Lesson Plan

Warm-Up (5-10 minutes): We start by quickly reviewing what we covered before or doing a short quiz to see how much you remember.

Introduction of New Material (15-20 minutes): I introduce new concepts with clear explanations and examples. I’ll use visual aids or interactive tools to help make things clearer.

Guided Practice (20-30 minutes): We work through some problems together. I’ll guide you through each step, answer your questions, and help you think critically about the material.

Independent Practice (15-20 minutes): You’ll try solving some problems on your own while I’m there to provide support if you need it. This helps reinforce what you’ve learned.

Review and Wrap-Up (5-10 minutes): We’ll go over what we’ve covered, address any final questions, and discuss what to focus on for next time.

What Sets Me Apart

Broad Knowledge: With my background in both Math and IT, I can connect concepts across different subjects, which helps in understanding how everything fits together.

Flexible Approach: I adapt my teaching style to suit your needs. Whether you need a bit more explanation or a different approach, I’m here to adjust and help you succeed.

Passion for Teaching: I genuinely enjoy helping students learn and get excited about the subject. My enthusiasm helps create a positive learning environment.

Real-World Relevance: I focus on showing how the concepts we cover apply to real-life situations. This not only makes learning more interesting but also helps you see the value of what you’re studying.

Who the Lessons Are For

My tutoring is perfect for middle school to high school students who need help with Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus, or IT concepts. Whether you’re looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead, I’m here to help you achieve your goals and boost your confidence.
