Hi, I'm Rakesh Sar, a passionate 3D artist and mentor with over 9 years of industry experience and 4+ years of teaching in the field of animation, VFX, and game design. I've worked on well-known international projects like Motu Patlu, Miraculous Ladybug, Morphel, and more. I’m currently a Senior Technical Instructor at MAAC India, where I guide students and professionals to master the art of 3D and real-time production. My Teaching Approach as a 3D Tuition Mentor
Teaching Techniques & Methods
My teaching style is a blend of industry practices and academic fundamentals. I focus on project-based learning, where students learn by doing—whether it's modeling a prop, lighting a scene, or animating a character. I break down complex 3D concepts into simple, visual steps using real-world examples and workflows used in professional studios.
Key methods include:
Visual demonstrations (live screen share with breakdowns)
Step-by-step exercises
Regular assignments and feedback sessions
1-on-1 doubt-clearing and portfolio reviews
Soft skill development (presentation, communication, creativity)
Structure of a Typical Class
Each class (2 hours) is divided into 3 segments:
Concept Recap & Q/A (15–20 mins):
A quick review of previous topics and time for clearing doubts.
Core Learning + Demo (60 mins):
Live demonstrations of new tools, workflows, and techniques in software like Maya, Blender, or Unreal Engine.
Hands-on Practice & Feedback (40–45 mins):
Students work on tasks in real-time while I guide them, ending with tips, tricks, and what to practice before the next class.
