Hi! I’m an experienced middle school science teacher with a strong background in curriculum development and student-centered learning.

I approach lessons with the end in mind. What are we trying to accomplish? From there, we can work towards the goal with a student-centered, hands-on approach. I aim to aid students with the pedagogy that I am helping them learn HOW to think, and not WHAT to think, so that students take ownership of their knowledge by the end of the lesson.

Virginia has a degree in Biology and over 5 years of experience in teaching science. I thoroughly enjoyed co-teaching a class with her on beach geology. She is an excellent teacher.
