• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  I have been curious about how and why things happen in nature, inclined me towards science especially physics and chemistry. When i studied physics, i realised it's not just theory but explain everyday life and technology around us.The mix of logic and real world applications made me fall in love with the subject, and now I enjoy exploring it more.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My own teachers and my love for sharing knowledge is my motivation to chose teaching.I enjoy explaining concept to others and seeing that moment when they truly understand.

• How does your work help society?

  As a teacher I'm shaping future citizens. I am helping students becoming capable and responsible individuals who can make positive impact on society. So in this way teaching is an investment in future.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  My first role model was my physics teacher who made learning exciting and encourage me to explore ideas without fear. I also look up to doctor APJ Kalam for the way he combine scientific excellence with inspiring young minds. Both taught me that knowledge becomes powerful when it's shared.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Outside teaching I love singing and enjoy reading novels, which help me relax and keep my mind fresh.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  Yes, of course. One I'm sharing about a student who surprised everyone. Once I had a very quite boy in the class who rarely spoke. we were doing a group activity on sound wave and suddenly he volunteered to explain the concept to his group. He used an example what I taught him, to make everyone understand. That day I realised - every student has a voice they just need the right movement to use it.
