About Esmée
I am a pianist and teacher who recently completed my Masters in Piano Performance at The University of Ottawa. In 2019 I graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) with joint majors in piano performance and musicology.
I have experience in a variety of musical settings, including solo performance, chamber music, and ballet accompaniment. In addition to classical training, I have also played in jazz and rock bands and am always eager to work on music of these genres with my students.
I am committed to creating well rounded musicians, working on music theory, technique, aural skills during lessons. These skills are vital in developing a students’ musical independence and instilling confidence as a musician, both at and away from the piano.

I have 5+ years of teaching experience and offer lessons both in person and online. I tailor my lesson plans to suit each students unique interests and goals. For younger kids, I strive to make lessons fun and engaging while instilling good foundations. With adult students my goal is to give them the tools they need to play the music I enjoy.
