About Samantha
Hello, I'm Samantha! I am currently studying at San Francisco Conservatory of Music with renowned pedagogue Richard Aaron. With several years of teaching experience, I’ve had the privilege of working as a private teacher, practice coach, and chamber coach, working alongside students to make discoveries and make strides toward musical freedom and comfort at the instrument. My teaching focuses on building excellent musicianship and technique through the diligent practice of fundamentals. I strive to create a fun and curious environment where students gain confidence through measured progress, creativity, and ultimately learn how to teach themselves, which I believe to be the foundation of effective practice. I teach cellists ranging from total beginner to intermediate and focus on building a solid technical foundation through exercises, etudes, music, and duet playing whenever possible. I have Suzuki training and experience with teaching cello lessons, coaching practice sessions and chamber music, and teacher assisting group classes.
