About Latif
I am a University of Bristol student, studying Engineering Mathematics. Previously being a straight U grade student I know what it feels like being the worst in the class. I've learnt to build confidence within maths and physics, and know what it takes to become an A* student. I am not the type to give up, if I cannot form a solid answer to a question, I will make sure to find an answer as soon as possible.

I will ask what the student would like to cover over the lesson beforehand; giving me time to prepare. I will primarily focus on gaps in knowledge and areas with lack of confidence. This will be improved through practice questions. I personally find it very important not to just be able to answer a question but understand why the answer works. This lies in coming to grips with the fundamentals of the topic. Difficult problems become a matter of breaking them down into core principles, rather than 'I am not smart enough to answer'.

I had so little confidence in my ability, but Latif was so encouriging and supportive that I started to enjoy my maths learning.
