About Evgenii
Hi! I’m a 23-year-old SCAD film student with multiple awards as a director and writer in both English and Russian. My passion for storytelling extends to helping others connect with the Russian language and culture. I gained my tutoring foundation under the guidance of a highly experienced Russian language tutor at American University, who also taught Russian at The Pentagon. This mentorship equipped me with effective teaching techniques and a deep understanding of how to meet the needs of diverse learners. With my experience and unique background, I am excited to share my knowledge and help you achieve your language goals in a supportive and engaging way!

My lessons are tailored to meet each student’s unique needs, focusing on achieving their personal goals in learning Russian or improving their English. I teach online and structure lessons based on students' requests and preferred textbooks, with a strong emphasis on developing oral communication skills to build confidence in real-life conversations.
A typical lesson begins with assessing the student's current level and addressing specific challenges or questions they've submitted beforehand. Together, we tackle topics step-by-step, ensuring the lessons are both practical and engaging. Lessons are customized to the student’s pace and focus on their interests—whether that's improving grammar, expanding vocabulary, or mastering pronunciation.
What sets me apart is that I am a native Russian speaker, born and raised in Russia, now living in the USA. I combine an authentic understanding of the Russian language as it is currently spoken with fluency in English, making communication smooth and the learning process relatable. I also bring in my deep knowledge of Russian culture, offering students a well-rounded and modern perspective.
My lessons are perfect for students from A1 to B1 levels, though I’m happy to work with learners of any level who are looking for a flexible, supportive, and personalized approach to mastering the Russian language.
