Hi! I have been studying Russian for the last 3 years with almost zero results. I managed to learn some grammar but still was unable to communicate even on a basic level. I tried some other tutors and it didn't go well because they weren't prepared and had no real plan. Just had my first session with Maria and I actually learned quite a bit on the first session. She's a really friendly, patient, encouraging and experienced native Russian tutor and she comes prepared with a lot of materials that she gave me. She's great with technology and started a google doc for me. She wrote out some words so that I could see them as well as hear them and see where the intonation stress should go. It's great that she keeps documents so that I can review and also learn on my own so it's great for online learning. She offered to create audio clips for me and we worked on a basic conversation introduction so that I could be a better speaker. Can't wait for the next session.
