About Niketa
As a skilled Vocalist with experience and success in performing songs with grace and artistry, I aim to teach what I know and what I learn as I continue to grow. Being a naturally skilled vocalist, I have developed my ability to employ a wide vocal range while singing with excellent dynamics, and techniques in a variety of styles and genres. Most of my training is based from independent self study. I've utilized the training material of expert vocal coaches such as Eric Arcenaux, Cheryl Porter, and the Hear and Play Vocal Mastery course, as well as many other resources along my musical journey.
My vocal range is a 3 octave range, spanning from B2-C6. My voice types fall into the categories of Soprano, Mezzo Soprano, Alto and Tenor. When it comes to my singing style and favourite genres, I typically prefer the musical styles of Neo-Soul, Gospel, Jazz and R&B. However,I am also very versatile and have been known to sing outside of these musical styles.

I believe that vocal training should be fun and engaging, so I've compiled some vocal techniques that I've learned along my musical journey that will make learning to sing fun, dynamic, and engaging. While building confidence and a sense of accomplishment as you learn and grow as a vocalist.
When you tutor with me, you will learn techniques that will help you to develop your vocal agility, vocal resonance, breath control, vibrato, falsetto, head voice, chest voice and more. My lesson plans are uniquely tailored to each student, based on their own personal goals and focal points of education. As a vocalist who is always striving to continue developing and growing in my craft, there is much I can teach you as we continue to learn and grow together.
I cater mostly to beginners and intermediate vocalists. However advanced vocalists are more than welcome to train with me as well. As true vocalists, we are never done training. Even top vocalists such as Mariah Carey, Beyonce, and Christina Aguilera among many others, still train their vocals daily. It's extremely important to practice in order to keep those vocal chords well trained and developed.
