About Matt
I've been a session musician, writer, musical director and teacher for around 15 years now, and my work has given me some fantastic experiences.
I’ve been lucky enough to perform at the O2 arena, Manchester arena, BBC radio 1 live lounge, Alexandra palace, Zenith Paris and many more.
I’ve also shared the stage with the likes of Boyzone, The libertines, The Fratellis, Sean Paul, John Newman, Fuze ODG and Charli XCX.
I feel that this experience gives me a very unique perspective on the current music industry, and how it’s possible to have a successful career within it. I’ve also found that it helps to inspire young people, and can give them something to relate to.

I would say my teaching style is one of energy, passion and inspiration.
I’m grateful everyday for the fact that I’ve managed to make a career for myself in music, and I hope to inspire the next generation to similar ambitions.
I’m happy to say I have a 100% record when entering students for grade exams, but I also love to combine grade exams with a variety of other styles and genres, so as to help develop the musicality of a student as much as I possibly can.
As well as working as a guitar teacher, I have a great deal of experience coaching bands and ensembles.
This has included organising numerous school performances, and also coaching a band that won the Brent council battle of the bands competition. Something I am very proud of!
