About Troy
With 10 years of experience teaching singing, I have had the pleasure of helping over 250 high school and college students discover and develop their voices. My teaching philosophy is centered on building strong vocal technique while nurturing confidence and self-expression. I create a supportive environment where each student can grow at their own pace, whether they are just starting or preparing for advanced performances. I believe in tailoring lessons to each student's needs, helping them explore various singing styles and techniques. My goal is to inspire a lifelong passion for singing and music.

My approach to teaching singing is built on communication, integrity, and cultural sensitivity. I focus on developing strong vocal techniques, including breath control, pitch accuracy, and vocal range, while also teaching important aspects like music theory, ear training, and performance skills. I help students connect emotionally with the music they sing, building not only their vocal skills but also their confidence on stage.
Additionally, I offer guidance in various singing styles, from classical to contemporary, as well as other subjects like rhythm, phrasing, and interpretation. My goal is to nurture a lifelong passion for singing, making every lesson enjoyable and productive. I strive to inspire students to express themselves freely through their voice, while respecting their unique cultural backgrounds.
