With a passion for all languages and a dedication to fostering a deep understanding of ancient civilizations, I am able to bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the realm of Latin and Greek tutoring. I have honed a dynamic and personalized approach to language instruction, empowering students to unlock the tapestry of history, literature, and culture within the classical world.
I hold a Classics degree, with a specialization in classical languages, from the University of St Andrews. Throughout my academic journey, I have immersed myself in the study of Latin, Greek and Spanish, delving deep into the nuances of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary. I have also cultivated an appreciation for the literature and philosophy of ancient Rome and Greece, which I am eager to share.
In my role as a Classical language and Spanish tutor, I employ a tailored approach to instruction, recognising that each student possesses unique learning styles and goals. Whether guiding beginners through the fundamentals of Latin declensions or delving into the complexities of Homeric epic with advanced scholars, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where curiosity is nurtured, challenges are embraced, and progress is celebrated.
I have classroom experience teaching Latin at GCSE and A-Level and can tutor at all levels from primary school to higher education. I am also able to tutor Spanish up to GCSE.
