About Katie
I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths A level followed by a Biomedical Science degree at University of Southampton. I qualified as a science teacher in 2011 and have been teaching science in secondary schools around Kent and Essex for the past 8 years.

I like to include lots of demonstrations, hands on activities and practical work during lessons to ensure pupils are engaged and can learn kinaesthetically and visually. I like to quiz and test pupils frequently for consolidation and assessment. I will always choose a friendly, supportive approach so that pupils feel open and willing to learn. I believe building a good relationship with pupils is the step to their success.
