About Neil
London boy met Maltese girl in Covent Garden Cafe. 30 years later, that was the most expensive coffee of my life. I'm still paying! I am now based in Malta. I have a BA degree in music from UEA Norwich, UK and an MA in Maltese and Mediterranean history completed six years ago at the University of Malta. Love learning. Hate teachers who teach their subject but know nothing about the world. A 25 year media and marketing career in London/Malta has seen me work in a wide range of business sectors. Now Based in Malta. Obtained a distinction pass Cert Tesol from Trinity in 2005 and have specialised in training business communication skills in English since then. I work with business trainees up to CEO level. I am an avid reader of international socio-economic and political current affairs. I am passionate about what I do and and am happy to supply references from senior people working in some of Europe's largest business and educational organisations. I'm here to help. In a word, I would say flexible. I always take a detailed needs analysis. Everyone has a unique personality and everyone who I work with is good at business skills. They just feel they want to be a little more confident, fluent and appropriate when they have to perform those skills in English. That is true, irrespective of whether you are having to work with, or sell to, first OR second language English speakers. Whether working with small groups (maximum six), or on an individual basis, my approach is communicative, and culturally sensitive and tailored to your wants, balanced with what I discover are your needs, as we work together.
