About Paul

Our technique to teaching is To allow the the student to pick up the guitar naturally. And honestly not everyone will. We do our best to present learning and practing as fun as possible because it honestly the guitar is the coolest instrument!I've taught many kids from 7-15 and I always tell parents they shouldnt be tell their sons or daughters to pick up the guitar, it's not a homework assignment !I always promote positive teaching , indepth musical knowledge and a love for the instrument that I try to pass on to all my students , during my course you will learn music , how to read it , play it and hear it, sounds funny right ? Don't we always hear music ? Well were just going to have to find out together. Here's what you'll need - one notebook and a pencil. Your own guitar could be useful to the student , especially younger ones, but it isn't necessary!

I got started teaching because by the time I was ten I could play anything from randy rhoads to Beethoven. My parents couldn't afford a teacher so I had to learn on my own, I always felt I  could of had a music career with the proper guidance , which is why I care about giving that guidance much more than 35 bucks you know

I like to allow my students to find a love for the instrument for themselves, I like to make it fun but also give a huge amount of knowledge which Is why I require a notbook for every session. I like to use YouTube videos to make it more interesting also the internet gives us access to some of the worlds best and coolest guitar players , I have print outs to cut back some of the writing and make it more visual. Remember music is entertainment!



well I've taught my younger brother and two kids from his class for years now , I taught the son of one of my high school teachers, and the daughter of one of my neighbors. I wish I discovered this site  years ago!



I would tell him to look for a teacher who can relate to the student and become an educational friend, instead of " Mr. whoever" who like to give homework 😂

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
a student should consider their reason for wanting a teacher , is it because you've always wanted to learn or because the cutest girl in class thinks it's cool? I mean either way is a good reason and definitely what guitar is all about (kidding parents !) but either way it's all about how serious you are about it.

Details

A lesson in your home will depend on travel distance , but close prices are about $50 an hour .out home lessons will cost 35$ an hour. I recommend two sessions a week only because it's allot to remember, which is also why I negotiate monthly plans , because I know parents are already crunching numbers in their head . Lol
