About Antony
I have an MFA in acting from the Actors Studio Drama School, that focuses in the Stanislavsky Method of acting. I am able to help you focus in on making your monologues and scenes look and sound as truthful as possible, while helping you develop tools to be able to confidently show your full range of emotions as easily as possible
I love the art of acting, and the technical aspects behind it. Using our body's instrument to tell stories is one of the purest joys in the world to me
I started out with helping other acting students with their British accents, and moved on to voice acting coaching, and then to audition and monologue coaching from there.
I have worked at various regional and off-broadway theatres in both acting and technical positions over the last 6 years or so, and will be recieving my MFA in acting from The Actors Studio Drama School, where I trained under many world-class teachers in the Stanislavsky Method, and also Linklater voice work.
I also do accent work, as I am from England originally

I start with a text-analysis approach, so that you gain a full understanding of what you are saying. I believe that you cannot fully be convincing on stage if you do not know what you are saying, and audiences will definitely be able to tell. Once the understanding is there, I will work on basic sensory elements to bring the emotion to the foreground in the piece, and to give you some tools so that you will be able to safely and effectively reproduce those emotions at will.
Mostly college aged and graduate school aged people. I also tutor children and teens in English.

I originally turned to Antony for dialect help, which he provided tremendously, but he was also able to recommend exercises to help open up my breath and settle into my natural voice. Antony has a wealth of knowledge, and shares it in such a calm and patient way that one is able to take a lot in without feeling overwhelmed. He breaks things down into manageable chunks!
