About Frankie
I am a friendly, positive, and experienced tutor with a passion for modern languages, studying French, German, and Linguistics at the University of Southampton. I am currently studying French abroad in Strasbourg, France, which has deepened my understanding of the French language and given me a lot of real-world experience. I have a lot of experience in tutoring and teaching French, German, and English as a foreign language to students from a range of different backgrounds. Through studying linguistics at university, I have gained knowledge in the areas of grammar, pronunciation, sociolinguistics, and language acquisition, meaning I can offer a rounded, enriching experience.
I can help you make progress in order to achieve your goals and grow in confidence, whether that's GCSE, A-Level, or other, while sharing my enthusiasm for languages. I am known for being both patient and reliable, and I incorporate a student-led approach to my sessions as much as possible. At A-Level I achieved As in both languages, and at university I have achieved firsts in my first and second years , as well as academic awards for French and German.

I take a positive, individualised approach to tutoring. As a modern languages student who's been learning languages for 15 years, and has also studied second language acquisition, I am very familiar with the most effective techniques for making quick progress in the target languages. The sessions will be tailored to your needs, so I will be flexible and target the skills you most need help with - whether it's reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, or translation. I am familiar with the GCSE / A-level syllabuses, so lessons can be focused on exam practice if required.

Perfect! Frankie was an excellent tutor for my GCSE French. I started lessons with her at the beginning of Year 11 and within a few months I saw the difference with my grades and felt confident in my real GCSE exams. Her lessons are always so organised and interactive and she’s always so lovely so I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a French tutor.

Frankie is always on time to our lessons and is always super helpful and nice. She's really been helping me with teaching myself A-level German and is knowledgable on things like A- level technique for exams as well as just the language.
