About Emerson
Hi! I recently graduated in May 2021 from the University of Southern California Magna Cum Laude with a degree in biochemistry. I graduated with honors in both the chemistry and biology departments. I was a Trustee Scholar at USC, earning a full tuition merit scholarship for all four undergraduate years. I have extensive experience in biology, chemistry, and biochemistry courses as well as extracurricular laboratory experience. I have received As in all of my undergraduate chemistry courses, including advanced general chemistry, physical chemistry, and analytics chemistry. I received a 5 on the AP Chemistry Exam in high school, and scored a 131/132 on the chemistry section of the MCAT. My holistic MCAT score was in the 97% percentile. I have recently been accepted to multiple medical schools, and I will begin medical school in August 2023.
I know the feeling of struggling in science courses. Teachers will bombard you with seemingly endless information and except you to know the most nuisance, random details for exams. As a recent graduate and young scholar myself, I know exactly how it feels to be in this position. I am confident I can help any student through these difficult subjects. I am extremely patient and dedicated to my students’ success, and I will spend as long as it takes with a student until they feel confident with the material.
