About Wilder
I like understanding WHY and HOW things work and where better to find out than at the foundation of everything: Chemistry! I believe the best way to really learn is to understand the how and why things work instead of memorizing (although there will be times where you will have to memorize) and follow this philosophy in teaching/tutoring. Understanding these concepts will allow you to work out any problem in chemistry, especially organic chemistry.
I'm currently working towards my PhD in medicinal chemistry at Northeastern University, which is more or less applied organic chemistry for drug development. Everyday is a new challenge that must worked through be it a technical lab technique challenge or a conceptual challenge when reactions don't go as planned. Either way, there is always something new to learn and a new tool to add add to your metaphorical tool box.
