About Xuanming
I am Samuel, a Professional Engineer and National Registered Scientist, prepared and passed all the licensing exams by self-study; therefore, I have substantial knowledge accumulation in mathematics, chemistry, and biology. I hold Bachelor's and Master's degree both in Environmental Engineering, with straight A GPA in all core courses.
During my scientific works, I realized the importance of effectively and efficiently instructing students in a short period, particularly to those whom with limited background knowledge, such as my clients and newly enrolled teammates. Moreover, through this process, I also know the critical impact of solving problems for students and digging out the hidden problems of thought behind the mistakes, to cultivate their critical thought as a key for the future academic studies and professional development. For 2 years, I have successfully conducted trainings for newly enrolled technical workers, on engineering projects and laboratory analysis, with thoroughly systemized, simplified and explicit instructions. The official training should be around 2 months, but I made sure that my students could independently and efficiently handle comprehensive technical works within 2 weeks.
As a bilingual technical professional, I also taught an American native middle school student on Chinese via video tutoring, and helped her getting Chinese Level 1 certificate within 10 months, with scores of 95/100 in listening, and 100/100 in reading. My tutoring was closely connected to the syllabus, as well as interesting and enlightening stories to develop the wisdom and morality of my student.
I would like to help as many students to enhance the academic performance, with my scientific knowledge and bilingual skill. My punctuality and clear-mind are my best reputation in the past 7 years.
