About Sophie
I've been knitting and crocheting for nearly my whole life and would love to share my skills with someone who wants to learn. I'm able to teach both left and right handed learners. I can help you learn how to create a wide variety of projects, from scarves to sweaters to plushies. I use knitting and crocheting especially to ease anxiety and stress, as well as to boost mood.
I started teaching knitting and crochet to children, as I worked in an elementary school for some time. Eventually I started teaching adults too. These are fantastic skills to have and I love to teach others.
I have been knitting and crocheting since I was young. My mother taught me and I have taught many other people as well. I currently run a small business where I sell my crochet works.

If you're a beginning knitter or crocheter, we will start with a simple project such as a scarf or a dishcloth. I will help you pick out the supplies you need and teach you how to handle the tools properly. I will introduce you to one stitch at a time and I will create a project along with you so you can follow along.
I have worked with both children and adults in one-on-one as well as class settings. I also am able to teach both lefties and righties. In addition, I know several techniques that can aid in learning for those with physical disabilities who might need alternative methods or adaptations for knitting and crocheting.
