About Rachel
Hello from Evianne Ballroom Studios! We are very passionate about sharing our love for dance with others and have been doing so since 2012. We teach over 13 different styles of dance including Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango to Rumba, Cha Cha, Salsa, and Swing. Looking to feel confident and comfortable on your big day for that first dance?! A lot of people are very timid about dancing and especially in front of other people. The best part of my job, I get to the see the finished product - the smile on people's faces when that fear is gone and they are confidently strutting their stuff on the dance floor!
I have been a dancer since I was eight years old and have always been passionate about sharing my love of dance with others!
I have been a dancer since the age of eight. I have studied several different types of dance including ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop and African. At the age of 13 I began learning Ballroom dance and was teaching by the age of 17. I have also had the opportunity to work and learn under both of the big franchise companies (Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray) and am certified to teach both syllabus's. I am also certified to teach the DVIDA syllabus, and have studied many others. Throughout my career, I have also been blessed with many lessons from some of the world’s top championship dancers such as Bob Powers, JT Thomas & Tomas Mielnicki, Felipe Telona, Cher Rutherford, Patti Troy, and Bruce Hasson.

It is always very exciting to work with new customers! To make sure that we create a plan that is best suited to each individual customer's needs, we start by scheduling a free 30 minute consultation lesson. On this lesson we discuss if you have any big events coming up that you would like to set as a goal or reason for learning how to dance. We also discuss any other reasons for wanting to learn how to dance such as exercise, fun, date night, meeting new people or just to learn something new. At the end of that lesson we will also discuss all the packages that we have and which would be best suited for you!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
If you want to learn how to dance for your wedding day, there are a couple of things to have ready when talking to your professional. You will want to provide them with details about the floor and space for the first dance, the music - will it be a DJ or a band and what song are you dancing to, and what the bride will be wearing for the first dance (is she going to be in heals or change into flats, and will she be changing into another dress or staying in her bridal gown). If you are learning for fun, think about where you see yourself using this new skill. This will help your professional determine the best dances to teach you based on the music you will most likely hear in those venues.
