Rece Fuqua hails from Chicago by way of St. Louis. A natural dancer by birth her astounding gift of dance earned her a position in Total Control; St. Louis sought after professional dance ensemble. Within this esteemed dance group Rece opened for such notable artist as Monica, Tupac, McLyte, Xscape, and Mint Condition. After five years with Total Control, Rece located to Los Angeles, Ca. and signed with a well-noted agency. Since then she has danced her way into countless Music Videos –from Will Smith to Master “P”. Her appearances included: The Grammy Awards, Lou Rawls Parade of Stars, BET Sound Stage, Radio Music Hall, The Apollo Theater and The Soul Train Music Awards. Rece’s multiple tour gigs included: Boyz II Men, R Kelly, Missy Elliott, Blackstreet, Next, Puff Daddy’s 2000 U.K. Tour, and Destiny’s Child World Tour. Being able to teach people to open up and become comfortable in their own skin through dance brings me joy. Creative arts through movement not only assists my students in reconnecting and staying in touch with themselves, it also allows them to evolve into whatever person they desire to become.
I started teaching private lessons for close friends and family members. Word of mouth caught on and I've been requested on a daily basis. I've also subbed for various teachers and taught in a few school systems and after school programs here in Missouri and in California throughout the years.
I've taking classess and studied with various teachers and iconic performers and instructors. I have danced professionally for 20 plus years in the entertainment industry and that experience alone has taught me limitless skill set.

I meet the student during the first lesson and try to know them. I of course ask question about who they are, what they like and what their goals are. Once I've assessed them on movement, I then know what ways I will help them achieve their goals.

My Adult Hip-Hop Artibics Dance Class.
I started it because a close friend of mine was requesting help to assist her with loosing weight and lowering her high blood pressure. Her results were successful! She shared her story with others which lead to others wanting to join her in class. This began the private test classes that surpringly ran for 3 years.
Due to constant requests, I have now decided to start the class back up, in spring of 2020.
