About Alicia
My services stand out because I've been trained by the American Musical and Dramatic Academy for two years and received an Associates Degree in return. I've danced for my whole life and performing is what I want to do for the rest of it. I now find myself very interested in sharing my knowledge, experiences and passion with others.
I love the fact that almost no one walks away from a dance lesson regretting that they did it. Dancing is the best way to get a workout in and have fun while doing it. Being a dance teacher gives me amazing satisfation knowing that I'm helping students expand their knowledge of dance and helping them achieve their individual goals.
I got started teaching in Stoughton WI when I was 18. I started as a substitute teacher and moved to a chereographer for the local high school dance team.
I have an Associates Degree from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy majoring in Dance Theatre. There we had to study Modern, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Singing, and Acting.
While growing up I also studied Ballroom, Burlesque, Pole, Lyra, African, and Heels.

I usually start with a sit down Question and Answer to find out past dance expierence, short term and long term goals, including injuries and/or conditions that would effect the progress of the dancer.
I have worked with students ages 3-18 mostly.
Always read up on not only what the teacher has trained in but where, it says a lot to the quality of the education they recieved and the quality of the one you will be recieving.
In the performing arts we have lots of jobs that come our way, my most recent one is performing with a childrens entertainment group based in Long Island, NY. During a birthday party I met a little girl who had severe burn scars across her face and hands that required surgery to repair her left eye and ear. She was already incredibly out going and was one of the first in line to get her face painted. She was painted a rainbow butterfly princess with lots and lots of glitter. Once we turned the mirror around she screamed a scream of joy I'll never forget. Being only 4-5 years old, she had never not seen her scars, and for the first time she finally looked on the outside exactly how she felt on the inside. Her mom was just as enthusicastic as she was and video taped her doing a happy dance. That moment changed me as an artist forever. I may not be famous and change the world with every word I say, but for a moment, I helped change that little girl's world.

Details
My prices are as follows:
$30 for a meet and great with an intro to dance seminar and Q&A. This is for a 9o minute lesson.
$40 for 90 minutes, $45 for two hours.
This price is drown up using knowlege of transportation fees, site fees and compartative pricing amoung other teachers in the area.
My availablilty is ever changing but without a doubt I will not be available Saturdays and Sundays.
