About Leslie
I’ve been teaching and choreographing for about 4 years now. I grew up in the dance competition world and also spent my summers taking dance intensives such as Dance Theatre of Harlem, Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts, and Ballet Hispanico. I graduated 2 years ago from the American Musical Dramatic Academy where I majored in Musical Theatre so I was able to gain much knowledge about dancing, singing, and acting. Going from a student to a teacher has been a humbling experience and it tests how much you really know about the craft. My goal in each class is to stretch and strengthen the body but also help people find their individualality when dancing. Everyone’s body is different so it’s important, whether it be a private lesson or group lesson, to find a way to help the student(s) be safe and learn technique but also make them feel confident and comfortable in what they are doing.
