About Liza
I am incredibly passionate about art. I believe it is important to help students reach their full potential by giving them solid bases on which their creaticity and individuality will flourish.
I had a fantastic art teacher when I was 12. She taught me so much. She was strict but kind and she really nurtured my interest in the arts.
I wanted to bring this to others so in 2008 I started teaching family friends.
Most of my formal education has been in the fields of Fine Art.
I have received my MFA from the New York Academy of Art, I have a BFA from Concordia University and have studied in France at the École Supérieure d'Art de Grenoble.
I have also completed workshops with painters like Alex Kanevsky, Steven Assael, Vincent Desiderio.

I like to get to know the student, what kind of art they like, what learning pace is best for them as well as what are their expectations from the lessons.
I also assess their level by giving a few simple exercises to complete.
I have worked both with children and adults.
