About
I have a MFA in Painting and taught art courses for years on the college and private school levels. I also ran an art gallery while teaching after-school classes for children, youth and adults for many years. I am the author and illustrator of a novelty children’s book, IF I WERE A HALLOWEEN MONSTER, (Little, Brown & Company) and sell my original oil paintings on my website, (concealed information)
I started teaching art on the college level in 1987.
I have a MFA in Painting and am a published author and illustrator.

I have worked with children, youth and adults as well as seniors.
I would advise a student to be disciplined and dedicated to learning. Art is a discipline with its own vocabulary and rules and it will open up a world of self-expression that will carry you throughout your life!
I recently won a “Best in Show Award” in a local Memphis juried art exhibition with a cash award of $500.
