About Shaina
Hello! My name is Shaina Adair and I am located in the Rogers, AR area. Let's create something!!
I graduated from college with a Pre-K-12 Art Education degree. My life journey took me on a different path, and I am no longer in education, but work in business. However, the teacher in me still lives strong, and I would love to dive back into the realm of teaching by sharing my skills and creativity with others!
Since graduation, I have continued working on my art on a personal level, as well as for a few family members and friends. After college, I tried dabbling in a variety of mediums including, but not limited to: oil pastels, acrylics, charcoal, watercolor, ink, marker, material, and even icing! (Yes, I decorated cakes for a while, haha!)
In obtaining an art education degree, you are required to explore a variety of art techniques; this caused a serious struggle when finding what artform was right for me. In the end, I decided to use them all! Haha! I've "contained" my art to live in the art classification of Mixed Media. With this, I apply a variety of art mediums (acrylic, found objects, material, ink, paper, etc.) on a canvas to create one cohesive piece of art.
For my lessons, I would like to allow the students to choose their focus and, with my guidance, discover their own passion for art using any or all of the following materials: acrylic, oil pastels, watercolor, chalk pastels, charcoal, pencil, colored pencil, ink and mixed media.
I have a Facebook page that includes a few of the things I've done; however, I will warn you that I am terrible at posting on it! The page was not created to sell items or anything like that - it is purely a place for me to share some of the treasures and, let's be honest, mishaps that I have created. Enjoy, and I hope to hear from you soon so that we can begin creating something amazing together!!
