About Rubana
I have been teaching Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and International Economics at the college level for over 13 years. I have an MBA from the UK and a MA in Economics from Rutgers Newark. I am currently an adjunct professor in area community colleges. I've always received positive reviews from my students, mainly because I am passionate about making economics fun! It's not just all graphs and math- when the students realize how economic theories relate to them and their families personally, concepts are easier for them to understand and they enjoy the process.
I tutored in college, and instructed undergrad classes when I was in business school and graduate school. I had a natural knack for teaching; I enjoyed it and I wanted to work in education. After a few years in the corporate world. I applied for a job at a community college during the Great Recession, wanting something part time that would also allow me time with my family.
MBA from the UK, MA from Rutgers. Adjunct professor experience in teaching economics and business subjects for over 13 years.

I begin by asking them how familiar they are with the subject and textbooks. I try to understand how they would best learn; some students are very visual and need graphs and illustrations, others are fine with just theory and text. We work together to establish a goal, and then I provide them with a timeline and schedule to achieve the goal.
